The Deck 5 "Lanai" provides shaded outdoor seating for the restaurants, but also a nice place to sit and relax in the daytime. There are ample blue beach loungers near and above both pools on Decks 10, 11 and 12. Just below on Deck 12 is SportsSquare, a colorful area with Twister, pool, bean bag toss and other games, encircled by a mini-golf course.
Highlight Must-Attend Events
The cheery space is run by trained counselors who divide kids age 2 to 11 into three groups based on age range (2 to 5, 6 to 8 and 9 to 11), though kids may be grouped together if there aren't many onboard. Activities are determined based on age group, but can include a variety of arts and crafts, puzzles, song and dance, and movies and video games. Meals are held under the supervision of counselors, including lunch and dinner. Parents must sign kids under 9 in and out of the program, but can give their 9- to 11-year-olds permission to sign themselves out. Plus, the resident DJ takes over the Limelight Lounge after the comedy sets are through, late into the night. Days go by quickly on Carnival Panorama, because it's hard to fit everything in.

This allows the new Cruise Directors to become accustomed to a new ship, and learn what activities and entertainment the ship offers. The Gallery on the Way holds several Champagne art auctions, but if you want to create your own masterpieces (starring you, of course), you'll want to stop by the Photo Gallery on Deck 4\. You can still ogle at the photos of other sunburned cruisers lining the walls, but a facial-recognition system allows you to use your Sail & Sign card to find your smiling face at the Photo Finder kiosk.

It's located right outside the Northern Lights dining room and is a cozy and quiet place to get away. Guest Services and the Shore Excursion deck are located on Deck 3, inside an atrium that marks longtime Carnival ship interior designer Joe Farcus' last commission for the line. So there's a heaping dose of neon, mirrored surfaces and other elements that are a cross between glam and wackadoodle (we didn't know whether to admire or fear the eyeball-ish orbs all around). Elsewhere in the ship, though, the decor is relatively tame and tropical; we particularly liked the quirky prints in the stairwells. This schedule can change frequently, and if you want to sail with a particular cruise director, you should check the schedule regularly to learn where your favorite cruise director may be assigned. The schedules are fluid and may also have gaps that will be filled closer to the actual calendar date in the future. Many famous cruise directors are not currently on the assignment schedule. This often only means they may be on vacation leave or haven’t finalized a contract commitment yet.
